The state of the sea will seriously affect the performance of all conventional ships, unlike the performance of HARTH designed and built ships.  Accordingly, all conventional ships (prior-art) rate their cruising speeds in smooth water.  The Hydro Lance HARTH ship's speed is rated to and through 80% of the Sea-State rating of that vessel design.

Note the worse condition for a HARTH vessel (the left side of the image) in a beam sea with the engines off.  Only a maximum roll of 5 Degrees is appreciated, while still having no pitch or heave of the vessel.  Also shown is a heading or following sea is shown traveling 60 MPH; a most economic cruising speed.  For further amazement, try doing a time / speed vector analyses.  The unexpected is Invention.
