The floor of the tail gate easily re-fits at sea with a composite net, and the platform can lower to below the ocean calm water line.   When survivors from a mishap at sea, bob or float , the HR-5 moves in to a position where the tail gate composite net is directly below the floating survivors, or survivor's raft.  

 With some similarity to a small hand-held fish-net retrieving guppies from an aquarium, the netted tail gate slowly rises, lifting the survivors from beneath up to dry safety.  This, and the HARTH stability, allows rough-sea rescues to be increasingly feasible, with greater safety for the crew and survivors alike.  Such capture may also intentionally drop-off and retrieve special mission divers. This capability is only possible utilizing the ultra-stable HARTH platform.
